CHICAGO, IL (July 20, 2020) — Treximo, a leading global life sciences consulting and solutions provider and part of The Planet Group, announced today that Dr. Ronald Freeze has joined the firm as Senior Vice President of Device and Diagnostics. Freeze previously served as the Divisional VP of Regulatory Affairs at Abbott Diagnostics, where he led a team of over 300 regulatory, labeling and medical writing professionals to execute the largest and fastest global launch of new technology in the division’s history. Freeze was instrumental in designing Abbott’s global IVDR strategy and resourcing model.
As SVP of Device and Diagnostics, Freeze will oversee Treximo’s functional team to design and continue to build out a team of SMEs who will provide tailored solutions for the firm’s clients. He will work hand-in-hand with Treximo leadership, business development, recruitment and operations to set a strategic direction for the company’s growth in the Device and Diagnostic areas.
Freeze joins the company with over 23 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has held several different positions at Abbott throughout his career, including Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, in which he led the Abbott Molecular Regulatory Affairs team that supported all development and on-market regulatory activities. As his career advanced, he expanded that position geographically to include Latin America and Canada, where he led the regional regulatory group to ensure the successful launch and maintenance of products to meet financial targets.
“We are really excited about Ron joining our leadership team at Treximo. Ron’s extensive experience developing regulatory strategies for mission-critical products, CER writing, and submission strategies, as well as his unique ability to navigate complex regulatory issues will have a huge impact on all of our clients,” said Michael Stomberg, CEO of The Planet Group.
Freeze has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
